“At the age of 60, with no previous musical experience, I decided I needed to play fiddle and began my lessons with Tyler. Having never played an instrument before, Tyler had his work cut out for him. His knowledge, patience and calmness have made my learning experience so enjoyable. After 16 months of lessons, starting from the basics of how to hold a bow and fiddle, I am amazed at my progression. Teaching music almost entirely by ear, Tyler has helped me build my skills and actually play music. I performed at an Open Mic night just last week and, although I am not ready for Carnegie Hall, my debut was well-received amongst my friends and I am so proud of myself. Many teachers have the skills necessary to teach, but Tyler teaches with patience and kindness and that is not always easy to find.”
